Mobile SEO professionals advised sites should load in two seconds

Digital marketing professionals who are running search engine optimisation (SEO) campaigns for mobile phones have been advised that they need to ensure the site loads within two seconds.

This is the view of SEO expert Michael Martin, who stated that mobile sites should be aiming for a two second load time on a non-3G signal.

In an article for Search Engine Journal, he explained that using a mobile subdomain or subdirectory could be a good way to build a site to be accessed via mobile phone web browsers such as Opera Mini.

He said: "Render this mobile version of your site via mobile user agent detection while also providing the user with an opt-out to the standard web version."

Mr Martin added that while currently Google Mobile search is the same as the search engine's standard version, this may change in the future, so SEOs need to be aware of any potential tweaks they may need to make.

Earlier this year, in a post for the same website, director of search marketing at LeadFlash.com Jason Murphy stated that mobile web browsing could hold the key to pay-per-click (PPC) advertisements in the future.

He said PPC buyers need to be thinking about how to utilise the tactic in mobile phones now in order to stay ahead of the curve. ADNFCR-2033-ID-19743711-ADNFCR
