Coupling PPC with SEO 'can improve click rates'

Using pay-per-click (PPC) advertising alongside more natural digital marketing techniques such as search engine optimisation (SEO) can help to improve click rates, it has been stated.

Search engine marketing expert Rachel Andersen said that it was becoming more and more difficult for websites to be successful in their SEO campaigns without the outside help provided by digital marketing agencies.

However, she wrote in an article for Search Engine Journal that website owners could boost their chances by using PPC as an addition to their existing SEO campaigns.

"Coupling organic visibility with paid search visibility has been proven to improve click through rates within both spaces," she commented.

Ms Andersen explained that using Twitter could also help to boost a site's results in search engine rankings.

She said that strategically tweeting at opportune moments would help a site to be listed highly in Google rankings, making it far more likely that a potential customer will visit the site.

However, sites should not just give up on their SEO campaigns in order to pursue other avenues, Ms Andersen explained.

"Just remember that there are quite a few tactics that can be deployed in conjunction to SEO that will help to garner additional traffic," she added.

This follows David Harry, who runs the SEO Training Dojo, telling Search Engine Journal that budget constraints would always limit the success SEO campaigns could have.ADNFCR-2033-ID-19647567-ADNFCR
